Navy needs your help to save his legs

Sweet 8-week old Navy was found laying lifeless in a man's yard, severely dehydrated and emaciated.

Our partner Animal Control officers brought him to us rather than taking him to the LA County shelter, where he would most likely not make it out alive. His back legs dangled and he could not properly use them.

We immediately took him in for X-rays. The X-rays revealed he has a broken femur on one side, and his opposite knee is shattered. Only Navy knows what happened to him.

When he first arrived he ate and drank non stop. We have him on cage rest where we are treating his severe upper respiratory infection. Once he is healthy and has gained some much needed weight, we will be able to schedule his surgeries.

We named him Navy because the man who called animal control was leaving for the Navy, and could not foster him.

He is only 8 weeks old. His whole life is ahead of him. If his back legs cannot be repaired they will need to be amputated.

Can you help us provide Navy with the best chance at life? The surgeries will not be cheap but he deserves the best chance to be the playful kitten he should be.

If you can help by donating much much needed funds or supplies to help us care for this boy and get him back on his feet, we would be forever grateful.

Thank you from our entire team, and from our little grey long-haired man, who's life matters. Navy.

With gratitude,

JeriLynn & Team Stray Paws
